Each year, I select a Word of the Year to guide my personal and professional focus. As the Executive Director at Vitalia Rockside in Seven Hills, Ohio, the start of a new year provides an opportunity to reset, refocus, and prepare for what lies ahead. Reflecting on 2024, I am amazed by how much my Word of the Year influenced my leadership and growth.
My Word of the Year for 2024 was flourish. This word served as a guiding anchor, shaping my decisions, strengthening relationships, and supporting personal growth. It also laid the foundation for our team to collaborate more effectively and achieve new levels of success.
Flourish encouraged us to move beyond simply maintaining and focus on growth, creativity, and teamwork. Together, we embraced opportunities that allowed both our community and team to excel.
Building on the progress of 2024, our Word of the Year for 2025 is thrive. This word represents the next step in our journey—going beyond flourishing to truly excelling and achieving together. Thrive encourages us to continue fostering growth while focusing on collective success and well-being.
