It’s been an exciting 2022 at Vitalia Active Adult Community – Rockside! There have been quite a few changes within our community this year. We have celebrated growth, both with our residents and within our team. We’ve faced challenges, learning each step of the way, while gaining valuable experience. We’ve even celebrated significant accomplishments and milestones, achieving Joint Commission accreditation.
January’s “snowmageddon” caused half of our staff to spend the night at Vitalia Rockside, ensuring our residents were safe and well cared for. “The Longest Day” was a hit this summer. Our residents and staff were able to “Pie a Department Head in the face” to raise donations for The Alzheimer’s Association. Rockside hosted the first-ever Vitalia Food and Wine Event and celebrated our own Culinary Director Nick Gutendorf, winning “Taste of Vitalia” with his signature dish.
Our Executive Director Chase Belza and Director of Wellness Jenny Glaser guided us throughout COVID, offering the education and communication necessary to monitor and combat the disease within our community. Our wellness team was influential in promoting awareness and PPE education throughout all departments.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Rockside. We are looking forward to celebrating the magic of the holiday season with our team, residents, and their families. Here’s to a healthy and successful 2023!
