As Culinary Director at Vitalia Rockside, I approach each day with passion, not just purpose. I face new challenges, hear new stories, and find fresh reasons to feel grateful. I’m excited to share how I arrived in this role, what fuels my dedication, and what a typical day looks like in our community. My work goes beyond preparing meals—it centers on building connections, creating purpose, and making a real difference where it counts.

I became a Culinary Director in senior living after spending 14 years in hotels and hotel management. That experience gave me a solid foundation in leadership and hospitality, which I now apply in a senior care setting. My time as a chef at the Ritz-Carlton in Cleveland especially prepared me with the standards and tools needed to excel in this role.

What I enjoy most about the senior living industry is the residents. They’re the heart of everything we do. Their stories, gratitude, and smiles make each day deeply meaningful.

Daily Focus on Team and Residents

Each morning, I start by checking in with both the kitchen and serving staff. I make sure they have the tools, support, and clarity needed to carry out the day’s responsibilities. This early touchpoint helps the whole team feel confident and prepared.
